We only use exclusive premium Italian fabrics that are super comfortable, wrinkle free, easy care, breathable, quick drying and have the added benefit of sun protection UPF 50.

We want to help prevent and reduce sun related skin damage around the world and at the same time make durable clothes for everyday life.

The fabrics are also certified according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 not to contain harmful substances and all clothing and acessories are produced in Portugal with great care and attention, under safe, fair and ethical working conditions.

Kalani was founded in Stockholm in 2016 by Sara Sandgärde and Linda Avenberg, who saw a need for smart and stylish products with added benefits made for everyday life. Fueled by a shared passion for style, comfort, practicality, and well-being, they partnered with dermatologists and fashion designers to create a collection that blends fashionable designs with UV-blocking technology.

In 2021, Anna Xavier joined as a partner & CEO, bringing new energy and a global vision to the brand. Under her guidance, Kalani has continued to evolve while staying true to its founding mission—offering sun protective activewear, resortwear, and beachwear that are not only chic and comfortable but also designed for easy care and everyday practicality.
